FEATURES
ARMS FREE PORT (AFP)
The SOLACE 15 features our innovative Arms Free Port system that allows complete use of your arms outside the bag without sacrificing valuable built up heat around the body’s core and the patented self closing baffles eliminate drafts while sleeping on your back or your side.
BAG TO QUILT (BTQ)
Another unique feature of the SOLACE 15 is its ability to convert from a sleeping bag into a quilt. The stowable jacket style hood and front center zipper allow for quick and easy conversion from sleeping bag to quilt.
3-WAY CENTER FRONT ZIPPER
The next innovative design concept of the SOLACE 15 is the 3-way YKK zipper, equipped with an anti-snag slider.
STRETCH ZONE
In an effort to extend the comfortability of each bag we actualized our efforts by building into the bag a shirring sewing technique which creates a stretch zone between the waist and knees offering expansion for varying body types without the risk of compressing the down and creating cold spots.
ARTICULATED FOOTBOX
In the footbox we created a multi-axis patterning with off-setting baffles that allow us to minimize pressure points and allocate the down more precisely ensuring that the user will have uncompromised warmth and comfort for their feet.
TORAY AIRTASTIC FABRIC + DWR COATING
Airtastic is one of Toray's latest innovations, gaining notoriety for being lightweight, durable, water repellent, and windproof, providing unmatched protection against the elements. The Toray fabric used throughout the bag is treated with an industry leading DWR coating ensuring maximum protection.
The SOLACE 15 comes in at a mere 2 lb 5.5 oz in the regular size, firmly situating it within the coveted range of ultra-light sleeping bags. We chose a high quality, responsibly sourced, 850+ fill power hydrophobic down and Toray's Airtastic as the main body fabric for our sleeping bag.

Size Guide
A properly fitting sleeping bag ensures optimal temperature regulation by trapping and retaining heat efficiently. If the bag is too large, excess air space can lead to heat loss, while a too-small bag can compress the insulation, causing cold spots.

PEAX Solace 15 Sleeping Bag FAQ's
What temperature sleeping bag do I need for hunting?
For most western hunts, we recommend a sleeping bag rated between 0°F and 20°F is a safe choice. Nighttime temperatures in the mountains can drop significantly, even during early season hunts, so having a bag rated lower than expected temperatures helps ensure better sleep and recovery. The PEAX Solace 15 does a solid job of maintaining warmth which helps for unpredictable drops in temperature.
What is the best sleeping bag for backcountry hunting?
With a wide range of options in the market it's important to look for comfort, packability, and maintaining warmth. The design behind the PEAX Solace 15 sleeping bag has arm ports for movement while still maintaining warmth along with stretch zones for comfort. For colder weather PEAX also offers the Solace sleeping bag in a 0 degree rating available here on Gearfool.com.
Which is better sleeping bag insulation for hunting, down or synthetic?
Down is often preferred for colder mountain environments, better warmth-to-weight ratio, and is highly compressible. Synthetic is usually more affordable and can dry out faster than down when wet but is heavier than down. Ensure you keep your down bag dry and it'll perform well to keep you sleeping in comfort during the hunt. The PEAX Solace 15 hits the mark across our expectations as hunters when it comes to warmth, weight, and compressibility.
What is the purpose of the 3-way center zipper on the PEAX Solace 15 sleeping bag?
The Solace 15 uses a 3-way YKK center zipper with an anti-snag slider to make getting in and out of the bag easier while also allowing ventilation adjustments. Hunters can partially open the bag for airflow or fully unzip it when converting the bag to quilt mode.
Which sleeping bags suit shoulder-season hunts around twenty degrees?
For shoulder-season hunts around 20°F, we recommend between 0°F and 20°F rated sleeping bags. Weather can vary and be unexpected during those times which is what makes the PEAX Solace 15 a versatile bag for those conditions.
