SLEEP BETTER. HUNT BETTER.

The Solace 0° isn’t just about warmth—it’s about real backcountry recovery. With arm free ports for in-bag function, stretch baffles for comfort, and an offset footbox to eliminate cold spots, it balances weight, warmth, and functionality for true rest in brutal conditions. This is a fully functional piece of equipment not a coffin you only sleep in.

Cold weather kills more than comfort. Sleepless nights in single-digit temps wear down your body, fog your decisions, and shorten your hunt. Too often, bags built just for warmth feel like straightjackets—restrictive and miserable when you’re trying to rest or feed a stove.

The Solace 0° is engineered for more than heat—it’s built for true comfort and recovery. Designed with the perfect balance of weight, warmth, and function, it thrives in late-season conditions and hot tent setups alike. Arm ports let you stoke the stove or grab gear without dumping heat. Stretch stitching in the legs adapts to varying body types, keeping insulation efficient without compression or restriction while rolling side to side. A spacious, offset footbox eliminates cold spots and gives your feet room to breathe.

Rest isn’t a luxury—it’s the edge. Better sleep fuels faster muscle recovery, sharper decisions, and more time hunting. With the Solace 0°, you don’t just stay warm—you wake up ready, reset, and capable of pushing deeper when others quit. It’s not just a sleeping bag. It’s your recovery system in the harshest conditions.

FEATURES

ARMS FREE PORT (AFP)

The SOLACE SERIES features our innovative Arms Free Port system that allows complete use of your arms outside the bag without sacrificing valuable built up heat around the body’s core and the patented self closing baffles eliminate drafts while sleeping on your back or your side.

BAG TO QUILT (BTQ)

Another unique feature of the SOLACE is its ability to convert from a sleeping bag into a quilt. The stowable jacket style hood and front center zipper allow for quick and easy conversion from sleeping bag to quilt.

3-WAY CENTER FRONT ZIPPER

The next innovative design concept of the SOLACE is the 3-way YKK zipper, equipped with an anti-snag slider.

STRETCH ZONE

In an effort to extend the comfortability of each bag we actualized our efforts by building into the bag a shirring sewing technique which creates a stretch zone between the waist and knees offering expansion for varying body types without the risk of compressing the down and creating cold spots.

ARTICULATED FOOTBOX

In the footbox we created a multi-axis patterning with off-setting baffles that allow us to minimize pressure points and allocate the down more precisely ensuring that the user will have uncompromised warmth and comfort for their feet.

TORAY AIRTASTIC FABRIC + DWR COATING

Airtastic is one of Toray's latest innovations, gaining notoriety for being lightweight, durable, water repellent, and windproof, providing unmatched protection against the elements. The Toray fabric used throughout the bag is treated with an industry leading DWR coating ensuring maximum protection.

The SOLACE 0 comes in at 2 lb 14.5 oz in the regular size, firmly situating it within the coveted range of ultra-light sleeping bags. We chose a high quality, responsibly sourced, 850+ fill power hydrophobic down and Toray's Airtastic as the main body fabric for our sleeping bag.

Size Guide

A properly fitting sleeping bag ensures optimal temperature regulation by trapping and retaining heat efficiently. If the bag is too large, excess air space can lead to heat loss, while a too-small bag can compress the insulation, causing cold spots.

Expert Insights

PEAX Solace 0 Degree Sleeping Bag FAQ's

What sleeping bag is best for late-season hunting?

Late-season hunts often require a 0° sleeping bag because mountain temperatures can drop well below freezing overnight. Choosing a bag rated lower than expected temperatures helps ensure warmth and better sleep during cold conditions. The PEAX Solace 0 degree bag offers the warmth needed for colder late-season weather and is packable and lightweight to keep you on the move.

What features should a cold-weather hunting sleeping bag have?

An ideal sleeping bag for late-season colder hunts should have efficient insulation, draft protection, allow movement, and have durable construction. At Gear Fool we've been impressed with the PEAX Solace 0 sleeping bag and recommend it often to hunters looking for the ultimate in warmth and performance.

Why do mummy-style sleeping bags work best in the backcountry?

Mummy-style sleeping bags retain heat more efficiently because they reduce empty air space around the body. This design improves warmth and helps keep pack weight lower compared to larger rectangular sleeping bags. It's similar to heating a house, if you have to heat up a bunch of extra rooms it requires more energy and a stronger heat source. The PEAX Solace 0 sleeping bag still gives you movement while retaining heat keeping you comfortable while sleeping.

What is the purpose of the stretch baffles in the PEAX Solace 0 bag?

The stretch baffle system allows the sleeping bag to expand naturally with body movement. This prevents insulation compression and eliminates cold spots while allowing side sleepers and restless sleepers to move comfortably during the night.
